Location and getting there

The six museums are spread across the city. The Museu Picasso sits in the El Born district, a short walk from the Jaume I metro station (L4); Liceu (L3) and Arc de Triomf (L1) are also within easy reach. MACBA and CCCB stand close together in the Raval, best reached via Universitat (L2), Catalunya (L1) or Liceu (L3). The MNAC and Fundació Joan Miró share the hill of Montjuïc: from Espanya metro station (L1/L3), the route leads uphill, though escalators take some of the climb out of it. The Fundació Tàpies is in the Eixample district, near Passeig de Gràcia.

Entry and how it works

After booking, you exchange your voucher for the Art Passport at the fast-track desk of any of the six museums - a physical pass that gets stamped on each visit. That lets you bypass the regular ticket queue. Expect a brief security and bag check at the entrance, and large backpacks or luggage usually need to go into the cloakroom. There's no formal dress code.

Validity, children and what's not included

You visit each museum once, and you can spread the visits across different days. The pass stays valid for a good while after purchase - your booking window shows the exact date. Children up to 16 get in free when accompanied by an adult, with no separate ticket needed. The Articket doesn't offer any further discounts. Not included are the classic Gaudí sights such as Sagrada Família or Park Güell, which require separate tickets.

Best time to visit and things to know

Allow one to two hours per museum; visiting three in a single day is doable if you start early. The Museu Picasso operates with time slots and gets very busy during its free-entry hours, so an early-morning or late-afternoon visit is more relaxed. The MNAC on Montjuïc also rewards you with sweeping views over the city. Check each museum's opening days before you go, as many of the art institutions close on a fixed day of the week. Cancellation and rebooking follow the terms shown in your booking window.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Articket

How long is the Articket valid?+

You visit each of the six museums once - there's no need to squeeze all six into just a few days. Your booking window shows the exact validity of your ticket.

Does it include Sagrada Família or Park Güell?+

No. The Articket is purely an art museum pass. Gaudí attractions such as Sagrada Família or Park Güell need separate tickets.

When is the ticket worth it?+

From three museum visits onwards, the Articket is usually cheaper than buying single tickets. Compare quickly with the individual prices of the museums you plan to visit.
